MyGuide Hits $299 PND Price, Pocket Star on the Way
MyGuide is hitting a $299 price point in the U.S. on its MyGuide 3050 personal navigation device. The device comes with a 3.5\" display and stuffs U.S. and Canadian maps along with navigation and support for 23 languages into a 1Gb SD card. Other features include a Samsung ARM9 400MHz processor, Windows CE, SiRF III GPS and MP3 support. MyGuide will bring the PocketStar 150 to the U.S. market in late June with a $379 price. The cellphone-sized device delivers approximately the same functionality as the 1050, but in an easily pocketed package.

MyGuide is finally bestowing its award winning navigational produce on the UK. The entry-level 3200 (pictured above) coupled with newly developed software, version 6.0, will mark the beginning of what we hope will be a steady trickle of quality gadgetry from the company currently based in Germany.
The 6.0 software offers super speedy multi-point route planning from the off. Theres no need for installation or online registration, you just stick in the MyGuide memory card and your MyGuide is ready to go. MyGuide has slaved over the last twelve months to try and develop version 6.0; maps come in a range of colours to look like traditional paper road maps, and 2D and 3D views with zoom and tilt make it easier to understand commands when approaching turns.
Everythings accessible through no more than a couple of taps on the touch screen, and detailed maps of the UK and Europe are stored on the 1GB memory card, eliminating the need for downloads.
